Happy as factory got more orders, but worry hard to reach client’s requirements because of low price. Some clients may not really know what effect be liked, clients will not satisfy but sales depressed finally. It is a headache that how to produce medals to let clients happy? Today, Gowin Gifts factory will share our experience from many years’ manufacture.
1, Clients must understand the use occasion of custom medals
The occasion will be one of important factors of customized medals. Sport theme? Award ? Or souvenir ? For adults or kids? Clients should know the usage of medals. Please kindly to discuss with sales if unclear, such as finisher medals and 1st place medals.
2, Material is important for medals
Medals can be made by many material, such as brass, copper, zinc alloy, aluminium, rubber, acrylic and crystal etc. The best will be brass material if metal medals preferred, cheaper and back up metal is zinc alloy. Crystal material will be suggested if clients like transparent medals, acrylic material will good choice if cheap price. It will be depending on client’s preference and acceptable price. Such as noble metal will be used for Olympic medal, rubber medals are for kids as normal.
3, Understand crafts of medals manufacture
The Crafts are important factors which affect the unit price. Medals without enamel color will cheaper than with many color, hard enamel will cost more than soft enamel. Soft enamel has engraved effect while hard enamel will plain with metal.
It will be better to have no mirror metal on recessed metal, because polishing wheel will hard to touch that area, and the quality may not very good if do like that. sandy blast will be suggested if big recessed metal.
Logo designs should be printed on sticker if there any changing color and epoxy on surface (doming) to protect printing.
4, Ribbons with custom logo
There is two material of ribbons, Polyester and nylon. Polyester ribbon is popular as it can be printed complex color with competitive price.
5, Plating color of medals
There will be various plating colors for metal medal, such as shiny gold/silver/copper, matt gold/silver/copper and antique plating color. One medal can be have two tune plating color If price well be accepted.
Color of Rubber medal color will be made by injected, but acrylic and crystal is transparent mostly. Cost of Black crystal material will not cheap.
6, Packing method
It will be OPP bag for each medal, or bubble bag if very heavy. Gift box and wooden box as choice if you liked.
7, Thickness of medal
As normal, thickness of two side logo medal should be thicker than one side . Thickness of 3D medals will be more thicker than 2D, specific thickness will depend on how 3D be preferred. Thickness at least in 4.5mm if rotating metal medals would be liked.
8, Suggestion for medal’s designs
It will be costly if designs complex with many enamel colors. Some designs may not come true, such as the space between two color is small than 1mm.
